During the day on Saturday, the Dragon Boat teams take to the water. Dragon Boat racing on the Black River has been a mainstay of Harborfest since its inception. Harborfest is a "free" event sponsored by local merchants and businesses, which account for 75% to 80% of the festival’s operating budget. The festival site is alcohol free but many local nightclubs in town will have events centered on the festival for those wanting to partake in South Haven Nightlife. Harborfest is a community event oriented towards families . All are welcome. The Mainstage will feature as many as 20 Bands and Performers over a 4 day period.
